"A Sound Mind" is a very important half of our motto.  The Turners have chosen to develop their minds in service to the surrounding culture.  At one time, that included the study of the German Language and Turners developed schools to keep German alive in the United States.  While the emphasis on German has markedly declined in recent years, the emphasis on things cultural has remained undiminished.  One has to look no further than the Hallenfest to see that the Turner tradition is alive and well and Turners continue to develop new skills as this culture progresses.

These are the type of exhibits that were shown by the Long Island Turners at the Aurora National Festival.  These photos were submitted by Inge Pape Trampler.  We welcome any other exhibitors or photographers to send us their photos of the Cultural Exhibition.
